Work organization
WP 1 (ULB)
Using common assumptions, it will provide with figures and KPI’s on import, transport and storage of the different H2-rich green molecules that are proposed; Impact on LCOE (Levelized Costs of Electricity) at end-user level is a key point.
WP 2 (VITO)
Diversity of industrial processes broken down by temperature levels but also by kiln, furnace and boiler requirement.
WP 3 (ULB)
Technologies to meet the high industrial on low-carbon technologies able to meet the requirements of these high temperature industrial processes (electrification, H2 combustion, circular oxycombustion of synthetic methane with or without CO2 recirculation).
WP 4 (ICEDD)
Update of the TIMES model to better represent the diversity of high temperature heat (broken down by temperature levels) and the ways to achieve these temperature (electrification, H2 combustion, synthetic methane oxycombustion with or without CO2 recirculation,…).
WP 5 (APERAM)
It will give an insight into the real challenges faced by an industrial player in making its industrial processes carbon neutral (technical challenges, economic challenges, risks,…).
WP 6 (ICEDD)
It will gather in one single document the most relevant information that will help industrial actors to achieve carbon neutrality in the shortest possible time and at the lowest cost.
